Mobility Photonics Zone[NEW]
Outline
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is entering a phase of widespread adoption, with Level 4 services already being launched, marking the beginning of the societal implementation of autonomous driving. Optical technology plays a crucial role in supporting and accelerating the evolution of the automotive and mobility sectors. Optical technology is used in various aspects, such as LiDAR-equipped cameras that recognize and detect humans and objects, networks that process this information and communicate it to the driving system, and more. Additionally, to support the adoption phase, improvements in usability and cost are essential, and advancements in optical technology play a significant role here as well. Furthermore, these technologies are applied to mobility fields beyond cars, including drones. In 2024, when interOpto – Science and Technology Fair – is reborn, we have established the “Mobility Photonics Zone,” an exhibition that brings together optical technologies expected to play a significant role in the mobility sector, greatly contributing to future society.
